Huge congrats to Tyler Mulford our resident American Import from Chicago, who received the Employee of the month Award for October.
Tyler started working for Dekk Rubber Tracks & Pads as the NSW Warehouse Manager in March 2017, where he was handed the task to not only manage the Warehouse, but also set up the new Minchinbury premises. Apart from his Warehouse Management role his daily tasks included cold calling, customer service, deliveries, sales and trying to survive the scorching Australian heat (fortunately for Tyler he doesn’t live in Perth). In addition, Tyler also assists Fortus (who co-share the premises in Minchinbury) with any Warehousing and customer support requirements.
Tyler’s ability to communicate well with all levels of customers and his desire to satisfy customer needs, made him a standout candidate for a slightly different role, of which has been a seamless move.
Tyler said “I was pretty excited to seal my first rubber track sale at my local golf course. From there I’ve slowly transitioned myself into more of a sales role and plan to continue that transition to a full-time role for NSW and east coast sales.”
When asked what he enjoyed about his time at DEKK Rubber Tracks & Pads and Fortus, Tyler was quick to mention the team.
“The team here is so close and have such a firm commitment to strengthening the company, you feel like part of the family. I’ve never worked in an environment that appreciated its employees as much as they do here.”
Outside of work some of Tyler’s interests include the typical Yankee sports of Baseball (Go Clubs Go!) and American Football (Minnesota Vikings), along with golf, traveling, meeting new people, growing his mighty beard (tongue in cheek as he’s regularly told to shave it off) and eating aussie food.
